A note from Hr. Cambron:
Reading this page means that you are hopefully considering applying for the Indiana University Honors Program in Foreign Languages. As an alumnus of the program, I can only attest to its benefits; from a standpoint of language acquisition and of cultural enrichment. There are few programs that offer this kind of coursework where the social and academic environment are so closely interwoven. Studying at an IUHPFL summer program in San Luis Potosi, Mexico made a lasting connection to the language and culture. But it also provide lifelong friends at both home and abroad.
And yes you read that right, my first foreign language was Spanish. IUHPFL gave me the confidence to pursue a third language and explore Germany. It is a life changing program.

Application Process
For your convenience IUHPFL has provided this student checklist here: Student Checklist
My recommendation is that all applicants read over this checklist carefully to begin planning for the program as soon as possible. Start registering for your passport now!
The first step in the process is filling out the online student registration and paying the registration fee. This registration closes November 15th.
After the registration and fee are submitted, students will be invited to submit a formal application that includes a selection of essay questions, teacher evaluations, and a high school transcript. By mid November BHS students will schedule a timed-writing submission with Mr. Cambron after school to be sent as part of the application. The date is at this point TBD and will depend upon student availability. The entire application is due December 2nd.
A tentative selection date has been set as January 21st, with students finding out if they are given Preliminary Acceptance, Placed on Waitlist, or Regretfully Declined at this time.
